We're officially less than thirty days away from the release of Star Wars Episode XIII: The Last Jedi and Lucasfilm is still protecting the vast majority of its 150 minute running time. I'd say that between these two new thirty second TV spots, we get roughly seven or eight seconds of new footage, but there's some bitchin' stuff in those few new seconds.
First off, in the spot seen above, we get to see more of the burgeoning relationship between seasoned diplomat Leia Organa and rogue pilot Poe Dameron, with most people suspecting that Carrie Fisher's real life death may lead to Poe becoming the leader of the Resistance by the end of the film. There's also an absolutely awesome moment in both spots with Poe piloting his X-Wing through an explosion and then doing a U-turn for a second run, something we've never seen an X-Wing do before.
Those of you hungry for more Rey and Finn will be satisfied by the handful of new shots of the two in the second promo below, as well as Finn's rallying cry that he "was raised to fight" and that "for the first time" he has something to fight for. It's a big moment for the character, and I can't wait to see where Rian Johnson takes all of them. Thank goodness we have less than a month before we find out.
